There's no place like home ...

In The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy clicks the heels of her ruby slippers three times and finds herself magically transported home.  We all know there’s a little more work to it in the real world, but for the hundreds of seniors who have made their home here, Longview is indeed a magical place.

It’s a place where older adults will find housing, services and continuing care that enhances quality of life.  It’s an intergenerational place, with kids from our on-campus Head Start classroom participating in activities with residents, and students from Ithaca College incorporated into almost every facet of life here in our community.  Most importantly, it’s a place where no one will be asked to leave because of financial reasons.

The “magic” that makes that possible is our Quality of Life Fund.  It’s our way to help us meet our responsibility to the members of our family when they are in need.  It’s based on the old-fashioned motivation of lending a helping hand to your neighbor.
