What’s the difference between Ithacare and Longview?
Ithacare, officially known as “Ithacare Center Service Co. Inc.”, is a parent not-for-profit company that embraces the charitable mission that is the heart of this organization.
Our mission is to develop and operate residential living communities to provide older adults with affordable high quality housing, services and continuing care options that enhance quality of life, independence, health, safety, security and personal growth while preserving individual rights to privacy, dignity and respect.
Moreover, Ithacare is committed to achieving and maintaining excellence in the performance of all its functions and activities as we carry out our mission.
It is through Ithacare that the funds are raised to support the work we do. So, visually, Ithacare is the Umbrella.
Under this umbrella is Longview, an Ithacare community. Longview is the residential senior community that is the brick and mortar expression of the Ithacare mission. That’s why we call our community: Longview, an Ithacare Community. And that’s why, when we do any sort of fundraising, it’s done under the Ithacare name, but, all the funds we raise support the Longview Community.
If you would like to learn more about how you can support Longview, contact the Director of Development & Community Relations at 607 375-6315.
